UATrav.com is the web companion of The Arkansas Traveler, the University of Arkansas award-winning student newspaper. Launched in August 2009 and designed to complement the 104-year-old print edition of the flagship paper, the Traveler website incorporates multimedia elements to provide a more complete picture of the reality of living and working at the UA, and for the first time in the Traveler‘s history, provides news updates daily. UATrav.com makes UA campus news more immediate and more accessible than ever before.
The print edition of the paper still appears on campus newsstands every Wednesday and features thoughtful and in-depth treatments of trending topics. Together, The Traveler and UATrav.com function as a cohesive student news organization that is both current and analytical, representing the “About you, For you,” motto the paper has had since 1906.
