U.S. Treasury Visits Northwest Arkansas

Photographs by Grace Gude.United States Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner visited the NanoMech Factory and Laboratory in Springdale on Friday, March 25th. Following his tour of the facility, Geithner released a new report detailing the economic benefits of President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2012 Budget proposal to expand and make the Research and Experimentation tax credit permanent. The credits will benefit innovative companies like NanoMech, whose cutting-edge technologies have applications in advanced manufacturing, next generation lubricants and the electronics, military and biomedical industries. Products can be found under trademark names such as Tufftek, NanoGlide, nGuard and ElementX.
