Monterey Jazz Festival on Tour

The longest-running jazz festival in the world, The Monterey Jazz Festival, is coming to Baum Walker Hall at the Walton Arts Center at 2 p.m. March 31 as a part of its tour. Tickets start at $17.

Trout Steak Revival

Winners of the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition and an Emmy award, Trout Steak Revival will perform at 7:30 p.m. March 29 at the Faulkner Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10.

“Dumbo”

The Disney classic about an elephant with oversized ears, “Dumbo,” returns to theaters as a live-action film March 29. Tickets are around $11 for adults and $8.50 for students at the Malco Razorback Cinema and depending on the time, around $10 for adults and $8.50 for students at AMC Fiesta Square.

“Hotel Mumbai”

Based on a true story, “Hotel Mumbai” tells the story of the siege of the famed Taj Hotel in Mumbai, India, by a terrorist attack in 2008 that will premiere March 29. Tickets are, depending on the time, around $11 for adults and $8.50 for students at the Malco Razorback Cinema and around $10 for adults and $8.50 for students at AMC Fiesta Square.

“Us”

In the horror film, Mother Adelaide Wilson is haunted by an unresolved incident that occurred in her childhood that leaves her family to fight off their most terrifying opponents — their doppelgangers. This movie premiered March 22. Tickets are, depending on the time, around $11 for adults and $8.50 for students at the Malco Razorback Cinema and around $10 for adults and $8.50 for students at AMC Fiesta Square.

“Dark Sisters”

An opera that tells the story of a woman who uses music to both explore issues in her life and to escape the Fundamentalist Mormon church, “Dark Sisters” will have shows at 7:30 p.m. March 29-30 at Starr Theater at the Walton Arts Center. Tickets start at $30.

EVENTS

Jay Leno

Emmy-award winner and former late-night host Jay Leno will take the stage to perform stand up at 8 p.m. March 30 at Baum Walker Hall at the Walton Arts Center. Tickets range from $55-150, and the top ticket price includes a meet-and-greet with Leno.

WCWA Showdown: Wolf in Waiting

The World Class Wrestling Association wrestler Dusty Gold will face wrestler, AR Fox, from 2-6 p.m. March 31 at the Fayetteville Town Center at 15 W. Mountain St. Tickets start at $10.   

Israeli Tactical Knife Fighting Seminar

Marty Cale, chief instructor of the Krav Maga Association, will give a knife-fighting seminar from 9 a.m.-noon March 30  at Fayetteville Krav Maga at 1700 N. College Ave. Tickets are $30.
