It’s Family Weekend at the UofA, and there are a variety of activities for families in Fayetteville, including the Arkansas vs. San Jose State football game, an exhibition at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and a bocce ball tournament.


Lap the Lake for LLS

The second annual Lap the Lake walk and trail run for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will be from 5-9 p.m. at Lake Atlanta in Rogers. Routes start from Clark Pavilion. Admission is $25 for adults, $10 for youths 12-18 and $50 for families of four or more.

Terra Nova Kings

The blues-rock band Terra Nova Kings will perform an acoustic set at MOJO’s Pints and Pies in Fayetteville from 7-10 p.m. Admission is free. 

Movie: “Ad Astra

Astronaut Roy McBride, played by Brad Pitt, travels to the outskirts of our solar system in search of his father, a rogue scientist whose experiments pose a threat to humanity. “Ad Astra” premieres Sept. 20 and is around $10 for adults at AMC Fiesta Square 12 and $9 for adults at Malco Razorback Cinema. 


Annual Bocce Tournament & Family Fun Day

The Tontitown annual Family Fun Day will be at the Harry Sbanotto Park from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The bocce ball tournament will start at 9 a.m. and the cornhole tournament will start at noon. Other activities include food trucks, a car show, firetrucks for display and more. Entry fees are $25 per team. 

Fall Festival

Kick off the season with some family fun at the Church of Christ’s Fall Festival from 3-6 p.m. There will be games for kids of all ages, and a dinner will be provided. Admission is free. 

Football: Arkansas vs. San Jose State

Arkansas Razorback Football will face the San Jose State Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21. Ticket prices range from $32-$228 per person. 

Elton John Tribute

Jon Shorter will play a celebration of Elton John’s music at George’s Majestic Lounge, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 per person. 


“A Walk in the Woods” at Crystal Bridges

“A Walk in the Woods” is an exhibition of forest-inspired works from Crystal Bridges’ permanent collection. The exhibit runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Soccer: Razorbacks vs. Alabama

The Razorback soccer team will play against Alabama in the 2019 SEC Home Opener at the Razorback Field starting at 2 p.m. Single match tickets are $5 and kids 17 and under are free. 

She’s Us at Terra Studios

Local folk band She’s Us will perform in the Terra’s Studios cafe from 1-4 p.m. The gallery will feature artwork from more than 100 regional artists. Admission is free to the public.
