After a dreary mid-January week, students and Northwest Arkansas residents can enjoy the UA men’s basketball game, Robert Downey Jr.’s new film and a festival dedicated to mimosas.


Mimosa Fest attendees can sample any of more than 100 flavors of mimosas and beermosas. Nomads’ festival will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets for the festival start at $22.

The UA men’s basketball team will play against Texas Christian University at Bud Walton Arena at 3 p.m. The team has an overall record of 14-4.

The movie Dolittle, starring Robert Downey Jr., follows the path of a doctor who can speak with animals. The film has a 17% on Rotten Tomatoes, so choose wisely when deciding what movie to see. Tickets at Malco Razorback Cinema start at $9 and AMC Fiesta Square 12 at $8.49.


The UA women’s basketball team will face off against the Florida Gators at Bud Walton Arena at 2 p.m. The team has an overall record of 15-4.

Northwest Arkansas 19th Annual Soup Sunday will include live music, an auction and a variety of soups from local eateries. The event will begin at 4 p.m. and will raise money for the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families. Tickets start at $45.
