Crime Update

A student reported to the UA Police Department that her ex-boyfriend, who is not affiliated with the university, stalked her, according to the UAPD Daily Crime Log.

The student reported her ex-boyfriend’s behavior to UAPD on Aug. 23. She told UAPD officers that he contacted her by using Twitter accounts and telephone numbers under fake names. He also told her that he was on the UA campus but does not attend the UofA, according to the Daily Crime Log.

The student reported that the ex-boyfriend also engaged in stalking behavior back in her hometown, according to the Daily Crime Log.

UA Title IX officials are reviewing this case, according to the UAPD Daily Crime Log.

Title IX officers address issues regarding sexual harassment, sexual violence and sexual assault, according to the UA Title IX website.

In the 2017-18 academic year, UAPD investigated one report of stalking behavior, and it was later submitted to the Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review, according to the Daily Crime Log.
