Today is the last day students and Arkansas residents can register to vote for the upcoming Arkansas primary elections May 22.

Those interested in registering to vote must fill out a paper Voter Registration Application by closing today at either the Washington County Courthouse, the Fayetteville Public Library or the Department of Motor Vehicles, according to the Washington County Courthouse website.

The courthouse and DMV close at 6 p.m. and the library closes at 8 p.m.

If people are unsure if they are registered to vote, they can check the status on the Voter View website.

Early voting for the primary elections begins May 7 and ends May 21. May 22 is the general election day, according to the Arkansas Secretary of State’s website.
