The UA Police Department received a report of harassment and harassing communications, and officers arrested five students and three people not affiliated with the university last week. 

Last week, there were four reports of theft, one report of breaking or entering and one report of criminal impersonation, according to the UAPD Daily Crime Log. There were no reports Jan. 14.

A student reported Jan. 17 that an acquaintance sent him harassing text messages. He also reported harassing comments he received while he walked on Harmon Avenue.

Police arrested a person not affiliated with the university Jan. 15 in the John Tyson Center For Excellence in Poultry Science circle driveway on warrant for multiple charges, including no proof of ownership and careless driving.

A person not affiliated with the university was arrested Jan. 18 at Graham Avenue on warrant for failing to appear on the original charge of possessing a controlled substance.

Police arrested a student Jan. 18 in Holcombe Hall on charges of possessing marijuana.

Two students were arrested Jan. 19. One student was arrested in Yocum Hall on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Another student was arrested in Gladson Ripley on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

UAPD arrested a person not affiliated with the university on Reagan Street on Jan. 19 on warrant for failing to appear on the original charge of driving with a revoked license.

Two students were arrested Jan. 20. A student was arrested in Maple Hill South on charges of minor in possession. Another student was arrested on charges of public intoxication on Dickson Street at Duncan Avenue.

There were three reports of theft Jan. 15. A student reported someone stole a gift card from her room in Reid Hall and made unauthorized purchases with it. Another student reported that someone stole cash from her room in the Northwest Quad. A third student said someone stole a gold chain and pendant from his locker in the Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

A student reported Jan. 16 that someone stole money from her room in Reid Hall.

UAPD received a report of breaking or entering Jan. 16. A student said someone broke into his car and stole fuel from it while the vehicle was parked in Lot 64.

A staff member reported criminal impersonation Jan. 16. The person said someone forged a nurse’s signature at UA Medical Sciences.
