The UA Police Department responded to a call regarding a non-affiliated person who was intoxicated and in need of medical assistance at the Arkansas Union.

UAPD dispatch received a call of a man who was complaining of stomach pains and in need of medical assistance at 3:21 p.m., UAPD Capt. Gary Crain said.

The Fayetteville Fire Department and emergency medical responders arrived on the scene shortly after, and found the man on the third floor of the Union near the Union Food Court. The person was highly intoxicated, Crain said.

EMTs took the man to Washington Regional Medical Center. UAPD will evaluate the situation before taking any legal action, Crain said.
