Crime Update

Fayetteville Police Department officers are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Varsity House Apartments at 8:05 p.m. Saturday night, according to a FPD press release.

One person was shot on site and sent to Washington Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, FPD Cpl. Dallas Brashears said.

Officers are searching for suspects who escaped in a white sedan, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta. There were four black males in the car, according to the FPD press release.

One of the males is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, skinny, wearing a black hoodie and a red bandana over his face. Another male is described as skinny, average height and wearing a white shirt with a sunshine logo on the back, according to the FPD press release. There were no descriptions for the other two suspects.

Varsity House officials declined to comment.
