UA Police Department officers are investigating a reported sexual assault between acquaintances that occurred at the Razorback Gardens Wednesday morning, a UAPD captain said.

A juvenile female made the report Friday morning, UAPD Capt. Greg Foster said. She said the assault could have occurred anytime between 8 a.m. and noon.

The woman involved did not give much detail in her report, Foster said.

Both individuals involved are high school students under the age of 18, Foster said. Neither is affiliated with the UofA.

The punishment for second degree sexual assault in Arkansas is a maximum of six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000, according to the Arkansas Code.
