Car Crash

A SUV crashed through Baba Boudan’s Espresso on Friday morning, injuring five people, Fayetteville Police Department officials said.

At 11:18 a.m. the FPD received a call about a crash at 701 N. College Ave. and found the SUV inside the coffee shop. Five people were injured and treated at the scene, and two people were sent to a local medical facility, Sgt. Anthony Murphy said.

An incident involving two vehicles occurred on North College Avenue caused one vehicle to lose control and crash into Baba Boudan’s Espresso, Murphy said.

The driver of the SUV will be cited for careless driving, Murphy said.

North College Avenue at East Rebecca Street was closed for one hour and 20 minutes because of the crash, according to a press Murphy said.
