Community Clinic, a primary care provider network for low-income Northwest Arkansans, opened four new external COVID-19 testing clinics in NWA Wednesday.

The testing sites are located outside the Community Clinic at Siloam Springs Medical, Community Clinic at Rogers Medical, Elmdale Elementary School-Based Health Center and Prairie Grove Elementary School-Based Health Center. Testing procedures are performed in tents outside the buildings, in order to ensure the safety of those inside, according to Community Clinic.

Those waiting to get tested will be asked to wait inside their vehicles until they are called.

Patients experiencing fever, coughing and shortness of breath are encouraged to make an appointment, according to Community Clinic. Testing for COVID-19 is at the discretion of each clinic’s doctors. Due to the similarity in symptoms, these clinics will also provide screening for strep throat and flu.

COVID-19 screening at the testing sites is by appointment only. Patients can call 1 (855) 438-2280 to request an appointment.
