The Razorback gymnastics team posted its highest team score of the season Friday against the LSU Tigers, but still lost 197.700 to 196.275.

“We did a good job. We had some errors here and there on events but all in all we were pretty consistent,” head coach Mark Cook said. “We are getting better and stronger. We still have to make some improvements but we are happy with the girls.”

Razorback freshman Hailey Garner tied for first on the uneven bars while setting a career-best score of 9.900, getting credit for winning her first individual title, which is the first of her career.

Arkansas scored a season best on floor and vault, rounding out its second highest team score of the season.

Junior Mia Bargiacchi set a career mark of 9.850 on floor, while freshman Jessica Yamzon matched her career best of 9.850 on floor set last week at Auburn.

Senior Samantha Nelson also scored a season best of 9.875 on floor, while sophomore Sydney McGlone matched a season best of 9.825 on floor to close out the meet.

LSU has defeated Arkansas in its last four meetings in the series.

Arkansas will host No. 3 Florida at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 in Barnhill Arena.
