The Arkansas Razorbacks (3-7) received a bid in the Texas Bowl against the Texas Christian Horned Frogs (6-4, Big 12 5-4) on Thursday, Dec. 31 in Houston at NRG Stadium.

It will be the Hogs’ 43rd appearance in a bowl and first since the 2016 Belk Bowl against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

The New Year’s Eve contest will be the Razorbacks’ second time in the Texas Bowl, after defeating the Texas Longhorns, 31-7, on Dec. 29, 2014.

“The University of Arkansas is very, very proud and honored to be invited to play in the Texas Bowl against a very, very good TCU football team,” Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman said in a Zoom press conference Sunday evening. “They’re coached by, in my opinion, one of the top head coaches in the country in Gary Patterson. His team plays extremely hard.”

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and will be broadcast on ESPN. Attendance will be limited to 13,300.
