The University of Arkansas men's tennis team (6-5) dropped a 5-2 decision to the University of Tulsa at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. Friday night.

Arkansas won the doubles point with two upset victories over ranked pairs.

Seniors Mike Nott and Manfred Jeske defeated No. 20 Clifford Marsland and Dylan McCloskey 6-5 (8-6) at the No. 1 doubles position. 

Seniors Hall Fess and Pete Thomason dominated 6-0 over No. 47 Alejandro Espejo and Japie De Klerk on court two. The seniors kept to their doubles winning streak after going a perfect 3-0 against Purdue at No. 2 Friday.

Arkansas earned the doubles point but could not seize the needed victories in singles to win overall, giving Tulsa the 5-2 victory.

Freshman Johan den Toom from Rotterdam, Netherlands attained the only Razorback singles win, defeating Carlos Bautista at the No. 5 position 6-3, 5-6 (2-7), 6-3. Den Toom is on a team-high and career best five-match winning streak.

Arkansas will return to play at home Feb. 22-23 against Oklahoma State Saturday at 1 p.m. and SIU-Edwardsville Sunday at 11 a.m. for a doubleheader.
