The No. 2 Arkansas women’s track and field team concluded its regular season with a top NCAA performance, seven personal bests and two school records at Saturday’s Payton Jordan Invitational in Palo Alto, California.

In Saturday’s competition, all seven of Arkansas’ runners established new personal bests in their events.

The first Razorback to cross the finish line in first was Regan Ward. Ward set a personal best in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:13.29 for the victory. Over the season, she has improved her time in the event three times with a total improvement of 21 seconds from her season-opening time.

Chrishuna Williams wowed with her 2:01.61 first place finish in the 800-meters. It was just the fourth time Williams had competed in the event, and she broke the program’s 10-year-old record set in 2005 while setting the top time in the NCAA this season. With the performance, she also set a new personal-best time, two seconds faster than her previous.

Dominique Scott didn’t fail to impress in the 5,000 meters, as she set a school record with her time of 15:32.55, cutting 10 seconds off her previous best. Because the event featured top professionals, Scott finished 18th overall and second among collegians.

Other Razorbacks who set personal records are Rebekka Simko in the 800 meters along with Jessica Kamilos, Diane Robison and Therese Haiss in the 1,500 meters.

Simko finished second with a time of 2:05.69, and Kamilos finished third in her section in 4:16.31, nearly five seconds faster than her previous best. Both competing in section four, Robison finished fifth with a time of 4:20.23 while Haiss finished in 4:22.46 for 10th place.

Next up on May 14-15, Arkansas heads to the 2015 SEC Outdoor Championships at Spencer Stadium/Maddox Track in Starkville, Mississippi. The Razorbacks have won five of the past seven SEC competitions and are the defending champions in the meet, hoping for a repeat performance.
