Known active COVID-19 cases at the UofA fell to by 10 to 13 during the week of Dec. 6-12, during which Pat Walker Health Center officials also reported 25 new recoveries, according to PWHC data.

Campus health officials recorded 15 additional cumulative COVID-19 cases over the course of the week, five of which were identified through on-campus testing and 10 of which were self-reported.

Of current active cases, seven are UA staff members and six are students, according to health center data.

The weekly average of active campus cases decreased to 15 after reaching 22 during the first week of December.

Of the 402 COVID-19 tests conducted on campus Dec. 6-12, five were positive, yielding a weekly positivity rate of 1.2%. Nearly 48,000 tests have been conducted on campus since August 2020, with an all-time positivity rate of 3.6%, according to health center data.
