Active COVID-19 cases at the UofA fell by four to seven this week, according to Pat Walker Health Center data.

The weekly average of active campus cases decreased steadily during October, reaching single digits this week for the first time since the beginning of August.

Of current active cases, one is a UA staff member and six are students. One case was identified through on-campus testing and six were self-reported.

The health center reported 11 new recoveries this week, bringing the cumulative total to 3,554 recoveries since August 2020.

Of the 271 tests conducted on campus Nov. 1-7, only one was positive, yielding a positivity rate of 0.4%. More than 46,000 tests have been conducted on campus since August 2020 for an all-time positivity rate of 3.7%, according to PWHC data.
