Fayetteville Police Department officers arrested 62 people and issued 417 citations between Jan. 23-30, according to the FPD weekly summary report.
Officers arrested 24 people on felony charges and 38 people on misdemeanor charges. Police arrested 10 people on charges of public intoxication, 11 people on DUI charges and eight people on warrants for failure to appear.
Of the 24 felony arrests, nine people were arrested on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and two people were arrested on charges of possessing methamphetamines.
Police received two reports of rape, two reports of robbery and nine reports of aggravated assault. As of Jan. 30, there have been 34 reports of violent crime.
There were 110 reports of property crime between Jan. 23-30. There were four reports of burglary, 95 reports of larceny and theft, 11 vehicle thefts and no reports of arson.
FPD received 201 reports of other crimes. Some of the crimes include 25 reports of assault and battery, 23 reports of drug and narcotics, 15 reports of vandalism, 12 reports of fraud, 13 DUIs and seven reports of public intoxication.
The weekly summary report includes the number of traffic accidents during the week. There were 60 accidents, none of which were fatal. Twelve accidents resulted in injury and 48 were property accidents.
Police gave 417 citations between Jan. 23-30. Officers issued 33 criminal citations, four juvenile citations, 178 traffic citations and 202 warnings.
FPD received 916 calls for service, compared to 796 during the same week in 2019. Police responded to calls in 5 minutes and 54 seconds on average between Jan. 24-30.
As of Feb. 5, there have been 1,002 crimes, including 343 property crimes since the beginning of the year. Officers have arrested 213 people, issued 1,479 citations and responded to 203 accidents.
