Robert is a senior journalism major from Alexandria, Virginia. He began working for the Traveler as a sports reporter in 2019, covering soccer, club hockey and baseball. He has interned for Arkansascovid.com, and he also writes for HawgBeat.com. After graduation, he hopes to cover Major League Baseball.

Mary Beth Kemp

Digital Managing Editor

Mary Beth is a senior combined English/journalism major from Dallas, Texas. She began working for the Traveler as a staff reporter in 2021, covering campus events and LGBTQ topics. She is currently serving as the president of the UA chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. She has also interned with the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette as a reporting intern. After graduation, she hopes to cover art and music for a newspaper.

Erica Wilson

News Editor

Erica Wilson is a senior journalism and music major. She started working for the Traveler as a staff reporter in September 2020 and began working as the news editor in June 2021. She has worked as a reporting intern for the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and as an elections stringer for The Associated Press. Upon graduation, Erica hopes to work for a newspaper alongside writing young adult novels.

Alyssa Crutcher

Lifestyles Editor

Alyssa is a sophomore combined English/journalism major from Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She started working for the Traveler in 2021 as a staff reporter, covering a wide variety of topics both on campus and off. She also works for the student magazine, Hill Magazine, as a staff reporter. After graduating, she hopes to move to the Pacific Northwest and work on the editorial staff for a newspaper.

Katie Parker

Sports Editor

Katie Parker is a junior Journalism Broadcast major from Gilmer, Texas. After joining the Traveler in March 2022 as a sports reporter, she was promoted to Sports Editor. Katie is a sports anchor for UATV, and has interned with KNWA’s PigTrail Nation and HogsPlus. After school she plans to pursue a career in sideline reporting and commentating with an organization such as ESPN or the SEC Network.

Natalie Murphy

Visuals Editor

Natalie is a sophomore Journalism major from Dallas, Texas. She has been working in photography since 2019 and began working as a staff photographer for the Traveler her freshman year, taking photos around campus for stories often involving minority and social justice groups. She has also interned with the Advocate magazine in Dallas, working as a writer and photographer. After graduation, she wants to pursue a career in political and travel journalism as well as photojournalism.

Ben is a Junior Ad/PR major and German minor from Overland Park, Kansas. He started working for the Traveler in early 2021, covering the music scene in NWA and lifestyles topics. This year he will be returning to his role as design editor. After graduation, Ben would love to work in music journalism or radio, or write PR for a non-profit.

Jack is a senior journalism major from Little Rock, Arkansas. He began working for the Traveler as a staff reporter in 2021, covering local events and environmental issues. He is a staff writer for Walton Insights and the treasurer of the UA chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Post-graduation, he hopes to write for an outdoor focused publication.

Lilli is a senior apparel merchandising and product development major and journalism minor from Rogers, Arkansas. She began working as a news reporter in 2020, focusing on lifestyle stories. She worked as a designer in 2021. After graduation she is going to attend graduate school to earn an M.F.A.
