Arkansas softball (24-1,5-6) bounced back to win the home series against Kentucky (22-12,7-4) 3-2 highlighted by a walk-off double from senior right fielder Katie Warrick.

Warrick had a phenomenal day in the batter’s box, swinging for three hits in four at-bats and recording two of the Hogs’ three runs.

Sophomore infielder Danielle Gibson sent a deep solo homer in the center-field lawn after connecting on a 2-2 pitch.This is Gibson’s 10th home run on the season making her RBI total 34.

Sophomore center fielder Hannah McEwen started the first inning off by beating out a blooper over the pitcher’s head. McEwen advanced into scoring position on Gibson’s ground out and senior first baseman Ashley Diaz’s sacrifice fly. Warrick scored McEwen on a line-drive single to left field to put the Hogs ahead first.

Junior pitcher Autumn Storms threw her seventh complete game and recorded her 13th win of the season and fifth win of SEC play.

Kentucky tied the game in the top of the sixth after adding pressure with two base runners. A crucial 4-6-3 double play got the Hogs out of the inning. Arkansas and Kentucky both left nine runners on base throughout the game.

The Razorbacks will travel to Springfield, Missouri to take on Missouri State (19-11) at 5 p.m. April 3.
