After being selected to finish its highest ranking in the conference, the Arkansas softball team continues its trend of preseason honors by starting the 2019 campaign ranked in multiple national polls.

Arkansas enters the year ranked No. 14, according to USA Today and the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association. Another poll by ESPN and USA Softball had the softball Hogs ranked slightly higher at No. 12.

The Razorbacks finished last season ranked No. 16 with a 42-17 record and 12-12 in conference play after reaching the super regional for the first time.

Earlier in the month, a poll by all 13 coaches in the SEC picked Arkansas to finish fifth in conference play, which was also the highest placement in program history. Sophomore pitcher Mary Haff was selected to the Preseason All-SEC Team and Preseason All-American Second Team, according to FastPitch News.
